Through arrangements with First Nations and lenders, the Fund can assist in expanding market-based housing on reserve by providing access to homeownership, rental and renovation loans in First Nations communities. It is estimated the $300 million Fund will help to provide for up to 25,000 new housing units on-reserve over 10 years.
