Bio of Tammy Drew, CAFM, CGA

A Certified General Accountant, Tammy Drew is currently the General Manager for the Miawpukek First Nation. She served as the Director of Finance from 1998 until 2001 and was responsible for the financial management of all the First Nations activities including Band, School, and Health. She also looked after human resources management, contract negotiations, and economic development.

Ms. Drew is the Team Leader for many of Miawpukek First Nation’s Boards and Committees. Before becoming the Director of Finance, she spent six years as an Assistant Director of Finance responsible for the financial management of Band Administration.

Ms. Drew attained her designation as a Certified General Accountant in October 1996. She was granted the Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation by the AFOA Canada in January 2000.
