Bio of Clayton Norris, CAFM, MBA, CPA, CMA
Clayton Norris, CAFM, MBA, is the Assistant Director of First Nations Services with Meyers Norris Penny LLP. He is responsible for the First Nations and Metis communities and works closely with our team in both assurance and advisory services.
Clayton is a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) as well as the current Director of the Alberta Financial Officers Association. He also has worked in banking, specializing in Aboriginal issues including corporate lending, investments, taxation and Trust law. He has worked extensively in remote Northern areas and understands the unique requirements of the people and communities.
Clayton uses a balance of his education and experience to assist his clients. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Nottingham Trent University in England, majoring in International Business and Culture. He has done consulting work with the Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China on World Trade Organization impacts and also studied distribution networks in Rome, Italy. Prior to his career in the financial industry, he was awarded his pilots license and was a professional hockey player, in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Active in his community, Clayton volunteers with a variety of community, First Nations and Metis groups and is a Director of several organizations, in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. He is a member of the Metis Association of Alberta.
