Bio of Shelly Vermillion, BMgt, CAFM, PAED
SHELLY VERMILLION (BMgt, CAFM, PAED) is a founding and Principal Partner of In Synch Consulting Inc. Shelly is competent in research methodology and Corporate Finance to find appropriate management solutions. Shelly has two decades of experience in various capacities including working in senior management positions and more recently as a management consultant. Shelly is also the owner and CEO of a small manufacturing company located in Sherwood Park, AB.
Shelly oversaw many large functional operations with both profit and non-profit entities from; the administration of program and service delivery areas, to economic development and business-related roles. Shelly’s involvement in business operations includes policy development and implementation. As part of her Management Degree, Shelly obtained an accounting diploma and has had years of experience performing the oversight for many large companies in Alberta and the NWT.
As an advocate, Shelly has been actively involved with many not-for-profit organizations having served as the Chairperson for Apeetogosan Métis Development Inc. and the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association. Shelly is a founding director and treasurer for Aspiring Women in Leadership and Legacy. Shelly is the recipient of the 2015 Aboriginal Business Women Award of Distinction for the Alberta Chamber of Commerce. Shelly’s academic achievements include; a Bachelor of Management undergraduate degree obtained “with distinction” from the University of Lethbridge, having received seventeen academic awards; two post-graduate professional designations 1) Certified Aboriginal Financial Management 2) Professional Aboriginal Economic Developer; and she has completed the Governance Essentials from the Rotman School of Business’s Institute of Corporate Directors.
