There are currently four opportunities on our Education and Training team, and one with our Finance and Administration team:

Senior Manager, Education and Training

One Full-Time, Permanent Position

As a critical member of the Education and Training leadership team, the Senior Manager, Education and Training is responsible for the AFOA Canada’s certified program activities, professional development workshops, and the chapter support activities. The incumbent provides training to staff, facilitators and assessors and has shared responsibility for the maintenance of the AFOA Canada website, database(s) and e-communications. The Senior Manager, Education and Training is a member of the AFOA Canada’s management team.

Administrative Assistant, Chapter Support

One Full-Time, Permanent Position

A member of the Education and Training team, the Administrative Assistant, Chapter Support will be responsible for assisting AFOA Canada Chapter Boards with coordinating workshops, Board of Directors meetings, Annual General Meetings, and other events as requested. AFOA Canada has 8 Chapters, they include AFOA Alberta, AFOA Atlantic, AFOA British Columbia, AFOA Manitoba, AFOA Nunavut, AFOA Ontario, AFOA Quebec, and AFOA Saskatchewan.

Accounts Receivable/Finance Clerk

One Full-Time Position

As a critical member of the Finance and Administration team, the Accounts Receivable/Finance Clerk assists with the accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting, efficient processing, and financial control. This position also provides in-office reception and incoming mail/fax as a primary function.

Education Administrator

Two Full-Time Positions (One permanent, one 14-month leave replacement)

As a critical member of the Education and Training team, the Education Administrator supports the delivery of AFOA Canada’s four certified programs and over 30 workshops. This means liaising with Indigenous communities and organizations and the people who support them. You will be responsible for working with students to ensure their success and coordinating virtual and in person sessions.
