Four Pillars of Membership

In collaboration with our Chapters across Canada, AFOA Canada has developed an approach to enhance the membership experience which is built on the four pillars of: savings, fellowship & networking, thought leadership and member engagement.

Savings

This pillar outlines the exclusive cost savings AFOA members receive for paying their membership dues. These savings include the premiere Member Perks Program and savings on workshops, online courses, conferences and publications.

Fellowship & Networking

This pillar involves enhancing the collective interest of our membership in belonging to AFOA Canada through networking and participating in events.  It is about being friendly, inclusive, and creating opportunities for social interaction. It is about helping each other.

Thought Leadership

The focus on this pillar is to find ways to utilize the knowledge and expertise of our members in the recruitment and retention of new and existing members. It is important to be aware of what is happening in our fields of expertise (finance, administration, business, leadership) and share current events.

Member Engagement

This pillar involves finding new and innovative ways to get members involved with AFOA Canada. It is about the notion of “actively participating” by serving on committees, taking part in opportunities to broaden their experience, or teaching workshops, etc.  It means that you are engaged in “doing something”!
