Request for Proposals: Financial Resiliency

AFOA Canada is seeking a consultant to help develop and deliver additional Financial Resiliency workshops and webinars.

In 2020, AFOA Canada began a project to identify a series of workshops and webinars for Indigenous communities and organizations. Guided by a working group and engaging with these communities and organizations directly a series of five accounting basics seminars and eight leadership webinars were identified, developed and piloted. However, in doing this work, many future seminars and webinars were identified.

We are seeking a consultant to develop and deliver another three workshops and six webinars, including draft templates for communities. All materials are to be available in both English and French, including the pilot of one workshop in French.

The objective of this contract is to develop three workshop and six webinars with the ultimate goal of building the skills of individuals working in Indigenous communities, specifically those facing challenges. The workshops are intended for individuals beginning a career in bookkeeping or accounting, in Indigenous communities or organizations, who do not have formal training from a college or university program. The webinars are intended for senior leadership and elected leadership in Indigenous communities or organizations.

Deadline: September 22, 2022
