Are you an Indigenous person living in Canada? Are you an AFOA Canada member? Do you want to be part of the TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples community? If so, apply today to join the TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples Selection Committee.

The Selection Committee plays an important role in supporting Indigenous students by reviewing scholarship applications and helping ensure funding is awarded to students pursuing college, university, or any other post secondary education pathway.

AFOA Canada will appoint up to twenty (20) Indigenous AFOA Canada Members to the Selection Committee for a two (2) year term beginning September 2026, pursuant to AFOA Canada’s Terms of Reference. In addition, up to three (3) ad hoc members may be appointed to support the review process, if required.

Selection Committee members must be available for the following dates:

Monday, November 2, 2026
Tuesday, November 17, 2026

The independent scoring period will take place from Monday, November 2, 2026, to Thursday, November 17, 2026. All meetings will be held virtually.

There’s Still Time to Apply!

We are extending the Expression of Interest period to provide additional AFOA Canada members with an opportunity to be considered for the Selection Committee.

If you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the General Regulations and would like to contribute your experience to this important work, we encourage you to submit your Expression of Interest by 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

We encourage applicants who satisfy the Selection Committee General Regulations to complete the Selection Committee Expression of Interest Form by the application deadline.
