Call for Indigenous Youth Governance and Nominating Committee Member
AFOA Canada is inviting one Indigenous youth to apply to join its Governance and Nominating Committee. This committee supports AFOA Canada’s Board of Directors by reviewing governance documents and providing advice on governance practices, board effectiveness, and strategic direction.
Committee Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing and updating board policies and governance documents
- Reviewing Chapter MOUs, protocols, and regulations
- Supporting board self-evaluations and skills matrix reviews
- Reviewing committee Terms of Reference and board manuals
- Supporting collaboration and engagement between the Board and Chapters
Eligibility & Commitment
- Must be an AFOA Canada member in good standing
- Two-year appointment
- Meets 3–5 times per year via Zoom (approximately 1 hour per meeting)
