A Memorandum of Understanding signed by National Chief Bellegarde of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) and Minister Bennett of Indigenous Services Canada in September 2018 provided the framework for the work that has been undertaken to explore a new fiscal relationship. The Interim Report is a roll up of the committee’s work and sets out the way forward for the coming years on initiatives to build a New Fiscal Relationship between Canada and First Nations.
