Request for Proposals: Policy Development Workshop Series

AFOA Canada is seeking a consultant for the development of a new series of workshops.

AFOA Canada is working to develop a curriculum program for the training and coaching of the leadership, management and staff of Indigenous communities in the preparation and presentation of public-policy documents for use in Indigenous governments and other organizations.

We are seeking a consultant to conduct a needs assessment, develop curriculum for 3-5 workshops (5 days of delivery), lead the pilot and the evaluation.

The objective of this project is to empower Indigenous communities and organization and their staff to confidently approach policy development. This initiative will have a special emphasis on a “train the trainer” dimension for both young and emerging Indigenous staff and leaders as well as older, more experienced individuals to wish to train and coach others. We know that this skill set is critically important for Indigenous communities to respond to the opportunities they have to transform their communities.

Deadline: August 29, 2022
