Request for Proposals: PROJECT FINANCING MICRO CERTIFICATION
A critical gap in training by and for Indigenous peoples is in the area of project financing. With various opportunities available to communities, this training can support them to forge ahead with confidence. Specifically, this micro certification will support the Canada Infrastructure Bank’s target to invest $1 Billion in Indigenous Infrastructure projects across its five priority sectors: Public Transit; Green Infrastructure; Trade and Transportation; Broadband and Clean Power.
We are seeking a consultant to support this project, through the establishment of an advisory council, to: conduct a needs assessment; provide a report on the findings of the needs assessment; develop a curriculum for delivery (in person and virtually); pilot the micro certification; and prepare a final report.
The objective of this contract is to develop and deliver a project financing micro certification. With the ultimate goal of building the capacity of Indigenous peoples who are mid-career and can take up this important work for Indigenous communities. The successful proposal will start by supporting AFOA Canada to identify experts to sit on the advisory council while preparing a survey and interview process for a needs assessment with relevant stakeholders. Pending the outcome of the needs assessment, curriculum development will be the most substantial component of this work.
